- 6,928 units affected from recall.
- Issue with fuel pump O-ring.
- Recall not confirmed for India.
Suzuki has recalled the 2017-2018 V-Strom 650, 2018 GSX-S750 and 2017 GSX-R1000 in the US.
A total of 6,928 units have been affected from this recall. It addresses an issue with the fuel pump O-ring that has been damaged during installation, causing leaks in the motorcycles. The three motorcycles use the same fuel pump assembly and Suzuki will rectify the problem by changing the tightening process and the shape of the O-ring.
The manufacturer will be replacing the fuel pump O-ring and the inside of the fuel tank free of charge. The US recall has commenced this month, however, Suzuki India is not announcing a recall as of now. Nevertheless, we recommend owners to visit the nearest Suzuki dealership to check for the issue.
