Suzuki today showcased their three new products, the Burgman Street, GSX-S750 and the Intruder 150 Fi. But along with these, there was another model that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, the V-Strom 650 XT.
A few weeks ago, we broke the story of the V-Strom 650 launch and it looks that it’s bound to happen soon. Suzuki didn’t have a proper media event for this bike’s unveil as the company wanted to focus more on the GSX-S750. However, the Japanese maker is looking forward to see customer’s response to this middle-weight adventure bike.
The V-Strom looks just like its elder sibling, the V-Strom 1000. It is powered by a 650cc liquid-cooled V-Twin that is known for its accessible torque. The V-Strom 650 is fitted with ABS, traction control system as standard. This Japanese adventure bike is available in two variants - standard and 650XT. The latter gets additional off-road equipment like hand guards, engine protection and spoke wheels.
Suzuki plans to price the V-Strom 650 very competitively in the Indian market. In order to do that, the company will assembled the bike in its Haryana facility. Once launched, it will go against the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the soon-to-be launched Benelli TRK 502.
