- Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT BS6 teased once again
- India launch likely to take place soon
- Was unveiled in February this year at the Auto Expo 2020
The first time Suzuki had teased the upcoming V-Strom 650 XT BS6 was in April 2020. Although it was supposed to be launched soon after that, the onset of COVID-19 pandemic made Suzuki to keep pushing the launch ahead. After a few months now, the company has teased the V-Strom 650 XT BS6 once again on its social media channel, indicating that the official launch of the motorcycle might be just around the corner.
We had gotten up close with the BS6 model of the V-Strom in February this year at the 2020 Auto Expo in Delhi. The design of the middle-weight adventure tourer has remained identical to the previous model, except for the presence of new decals. The feature list has also been left untouched which comprises of bits like a semi-digital instrument cluster, a mobile charger, dual-channel ABS and three-level traction control.
What’s majorly revised is the 645cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled engine which emits cleaner gases now. Despite that, the power figures of 70bhp and 62Nm have remained nearly identical to its BS4 counterpart. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox. It rides on 19-17-inch spoke wheel combination which are suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock. Twin 320mm discs up front and a 260mm rotor at the rear handle the braking task.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT BS6 is likely to be priced around Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 in India.
