- Bookings open in the Philippines
- Deliveries to begin in early 2023
- Identical to the India-spec model
The small-size adventure touring motorcycle segment of the Philippines recently became more competitive with the entry of the V-Storm SX 250. Bookings for the bike have commenced in the Philippines and deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2023.
This V-Strom SX 250 is identical to the India-spec iteration. It is powered by a 249cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that’s decently punchy and profoundly refined. It churns out 26.1bhp and 22.2Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by a single disc at both ends.
The design of the motorcycle is inspired by the bigger V-Strom 650 XT and the V-Strom 1000. While it boasts a tall stance, the mid-section is pretty slim which allows the legs to properly hold on to it. Moreover, it comes with multiple adventure-centric elements like knuckle guards, tall windscreen, and a rear luggage rack. On the feature front, the V-Strom is reasonably equipped with an LCD dash, Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a USB charger.
In India, the Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is priced at Rs 2.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it goes up against the KTM 250 Adventure.
