Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the achievement of the seven million-unit production milestone. The seven millionth vehicle which was rolled out from the company’s Kherki Dhaula plant situated in Gurugram, was Suzuki’s quarter-litre sports adventure tourer, the V-Strom SX, in its vibrant Champion Yellow No. 2 colour.
Apart from the quarter-litre adventure-tourer, Suzuki Motorcycle India also offers the Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF, Gixxer, Access 125, Avenis, Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX in the Indian market. Meanwhile, the company’s premium motorcycle portfolio comprises the Hayabusa, V-Strom 650XT, and Katana. Suzuki Motorcycle India also exports several locally-produced models to international markets.
Speaking about the milestone, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that in the financial year ending March 2023, the company achieved a record sale of 9.38 lakh units and year-on-year growth of 24.3 per cent as compared to FY 2021-22.
The company recently updated its portfolio with the launch of OBD2-compliant models in the Indian market. Further, it also updated its premium motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the 2023 Hayabusa in our market at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 16.90 lakh.
