- New V-Strom 800 model under development
- Likely to be a base road variant
- V-Strom 800 DE is being tested in India
Suzuki is looking to expand its adventure bike lineup. The company is gearing up to launch the entry-level V-Strom 800 model.
According to a leaked emission document, the Japanese brand has registered three models for 2024 launches. The first two are the 2024 versions of the V-Strom 800DE Adventure and the V-Strom 800DE. These two bikes made their global debut at 2022 EICMA and soon went on sale. Both these bikes focus on riders who spend a lot of time on and off-road.
From the leaked document, it is clear that Suzuki now wants to tap more affordable pricing in the segment. The name V-Strom 800 suggests it could be a base model focusing on-road riding. Such things as a smaller front wheel, alloy wheels and different suspension setup are likely to be seen on this bike. Some features could also be removed for this variant to keep the costs in check.
We are expecting Suzuki to unveil this new motorcycle at the 2023 EICMA Show that will be held in Milan, Italy, followed by a launch in some of the global markets. Suzuki India has been testing the V-Strom 800DE in the Indian market, which makes us believe that the bike will come to India soon.
