The faired version of the Suzuki Gixxer has been spied completely undisguised. While the Suzuki Fixxer SF has been spotted testing before, the lack of camouflage in this photo has given us the first glimpse of the Yamaha Fazer rival, in its full glory.
Going by the spy shot, the Gixxer SF will carry forward the sculpted fuel tank and the rear panels from the naked motorcycle, though the edgy body panels in the front section have made way for the full sized fairing. This full fairing has been styled to resemble the bigger GSX-R superbikes and will also aid the motorcycle’s touring capabilities. The fairing reads out the Japanese manufacturer’s name in bold letters, which is another detail nicked from the bigger GSX-R machines.
Mechanically, the Gixxer SF will retain the naked motorcycle’s architecture. It will also be powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque, through a five-speed gearbox. We expect the faired Suzuki Gixxer SF to be launched in India in the next couple of months. With a price tag around the Rs 85,000 mark, the Gixxer SF will be the most affordable fully-faired motorcycle in India.
