Things are changing too quickly in the world of technology and for good. A Taiwanese start-up Jarvish has unveiled a smart-helmet which features Alexa, Google’s voice-controlled personal assistant.
The company has named this helmet X-AR and is loaded with next generation technologies that is expected to make a rider’s life easy. It gets a heads-up display (HUD) that delivers various information like traffic and weather conditions, smartphone notifications and also media controls. All these details are displayed in such a way that it doesn’t distract the rider.
For Alexa, the company has used a microphone to talk to Alexa. Using this feature, the rider can talk to Alexa and bring out various information like directions. This smart helmet is also equipped with 2K full HD sensor at the back that acts as a rear view camera. This information is also displayed on the HUD. The X-AR will have 16GB of built-in storage for offline media, maps and video recording, which can be extended to 256GB with a micro SD card. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi also feature and the device, which has a battery life of four hours and is compatible with iOS and Android phones.
This helmet is expected to go on sale worldwide with a price tag of $1000 (Rs 68,470).
