- Will be Ather’s family-oriented scooter
- Has been spotted testing
- Officially teased by the brand
Ather Energy has officially teased its upcoming family-oriented electric scooter. It will be called the Rizta and has been spotted testing earlier as well. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer will launch it in the coming months and here is what we know about it.
As seen on the test mule, the Ather Rizta will get a flat apron. Its side panels feature very minimal cuts or creases compared to the current 450 lineup. Its LED headlight is horizontally integrated inside the front panel. The taillight too is fitted in the same format. The floorboard area of the upcoming Ather Rizta is likely to be more spacious than the current 450X’s.
We expect the Ather Rizta to borrow its hardware, features, motor and battery from the 450 bloodline. For reference, Ather offers the 450S with a 2.9kWh battery while the 450X comes with a 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery options. Both models get a 90kmph top speed. However, the range for the 450S is 115km whereas the 450X 2.9kWh and 450X 3.7kWh offer 111km and 150km of range, respectively.
You can also expect the Ather Rizta to get 450S’ Deep View display. This will help Ather to keep the costs in check. Along with that, the upcoming Ather EV could also come with ride modes, multiple readouts on the screen, and smartphone connectivity.
Ather could price the Rizta electric scooter at around Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the TVS iQube range.
