Ducati has re-launched the Diavel in Malaysia with a price cut after commencing complete knock down (CKD) operations in Thailand. The assembled in Thailand cruiser costs a lot less that the one imported from their factory in Italy.
After taking the CKD route, the revised price for the standard Diavel is 109,888 MYR (Rs 19.73 lakh), which is 29,000 MYR (Rs 5.20 lakh) cheaper than the CBU unit. The Diavel Carbon is now priced at 126,888 MYR (Rs 22.78 lakh) which is 33,000 MYR (Rs 5.92 lakh) cheaper than the CBU unit.
Standard and Carbon Diavel in India retails at Rs 22.36 lakhs and Rs 27.41 lakh respectively. There is a possibility that Thailand assembled Diavel might come to India, taking advantage of trade pacts shared with Thailand. If this happens, the prices in India will come down a little as well.
