India is going to witness a motoring that is happening for the first time on an air strip. Called the Valley Run, an international style drag racing event will be held in Aamby Valley airstrip on March 9 and 10. The event has been organised by Elite Octane Inc with help of few other partners. The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSI) will be governing this complete event. FMSCI appointed stewards and COC will be part of the main team.
The event is open to professional racers as well as for riders who wants to experience the drag race. All kinds of motorcycles ranging from Super-bikes, stock motorcycles, modified motorcycles can be a part of this racing event. Accordingly, the races have been divided into different classes. Rickey Gadson, ten times drag racing champion will inaugurate the event and will also be a part of the exhibition drag run on his Monster Energy ZZR1400. "I am definitely looking forward to making my maiden voyage over to Mumbai, India for The Valley Run 2013. India has a huge and thriving drag racing fan base. So I'm honored to be the first US Champion Drag Racer to come over and be a part of this event.” said Rickey Gadson.
For those who can’t participate in the race but want to be a part of this event, you can get two day pass for Rs 1500 and single day pass for Rs 1000.
