- Classic Legends likely to launch three new Jawa models in the next 18 months
- One of them will be the factory custom bobber, the Perak

Classic Legends, the parent company of Jawa brand, is reportedly gearing up to introduce three new Jawa models in India. The CEO of Classic Legends, Ashish Joshi, said in an interview that the company will be launching three new motorcycles in the next 18 months. Being tight-lipped about any further information, he affirmed that more details will be conveyed on 15 November 2019, which is the brand’s first anniversary of launching Jawa bikes in India.
Out of these three forthcoming models, the one we are aware of is the Perak which is a factory custom bobber. The company had unveiled it during the launch of the Jawa Standard and Forty-Two, confirming that it will be a part of the company’s portfolio in the coming days. At the same time, Classic Legends had also announced the Perak’s pricing which is set at Rs 1.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will be powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder motor, which is slightly larger than the Standard and Forty-two’s 293cc mill. The Perak is likely to be launched by early 2020.
As for the second model, it will most likely be a Scrambler. To remind you, the company had hinted about it through a design sketch, alongside the Perak, last year. It represented a motorcycle with an upright stance, long travel suspension, high-set front fender and an under-seat exhaust. While the mechanical bits about this bike are not known yet, the company CEO revealed that the new bikes will feature ‘different technology and engine configuration’. From that we suspect this Scrambler could use a differently tuned version of either the Perak’s 334cc mill or the Standard and Forty Two’s 293cc motor. This might be topped by a set of modern features. Considering these aspects, the Scrambler will perhaps carry a price tag similar to the Perak.
Lastly, details about the third bike in the line-up are unknown as of now. In order to find out, we will have to wait until the brand makes further revelation. Since its launch in November last year, Classic Legends has been struggling to cope with the demand. The waiting period for Jawa models is currently around six to seven months. However, the company is trying to reduce this by ramping up the production at its facility in Pithampur.
