There’s been a steady increase in big bike manufacturers in India over the last couple of years. We have Kawasaki, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Benelli, Indian Motorcycles, Aprilia and now the super-premium MV Agusta. So it’s obvious that there’s a great demand for big bikes in India and it’ll continue to be like that for the next couple of years. So in this edition, we list the top 3 most popular big bikes on BikeWale in May.
Rank 3: Benelli TNT 600i
They called it the most affordable inline-four bike and it was. The TNT 600i Benelli was the talk of the town when it was launched. The sound of the inline-four engine was all that convinced a lot of buyers to put down their money. With over 10,000 visitors in May, the TNT600i was the third most popular big bike on BikeWale in May. But the best part is, close to 57 per cent visitors showed interest in buying this bike, which is a very big number. Majority of the visitors for the TNT600i came from Mumbai and Bengaluru, whereas Delhi and Chennai took the next two spots, respectively. Pune being a smaller city came fifth.
Rank 2: Ducati Scrambler Icon
The coolest looking bike in this list – the Ducati Scrambler Icon is Ducati’s highest selling bike worldwide. And it wasn’t a surprise when it took the second spot here. In fact, there’s a big difference between the Scrambler Icon and the second most popular Ducati bike which is the Diavel. So to make your life easy, read these stats. Over 12,000 visitors, 52 percent buying interest and once again, researchers from Mumbai took the top spot. Bengaluru and Delhi came second and third respectively.
Rank 1: Harley-Davidson Street 750
The Street 750 needs no introduction – the most accessible, affordable Harley one can buy in India. Very competitively priced and it’s made in India. So cheaper to service too. And this has resulted in Street 750 to become the most popular big bike in May. Close to 50,000 visitors, 30 per cent of them showed interest in buying it. And just like every time, researchers from Mumbai showed the maximum interest for the Street 750, followed by Delhi and Pune.
