The petrol-powered two-wheelers have picked up decent sales growth in July 2022, but is it the same case with the EVs? We’ve received the July 2022 sales data from SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) and let’s see which brands have topped the sales chart. Also note that the below data doesn’t include Ola Electric and Revolt Motors’ sales figures.
As per the above data, the Okinawa Praise Pro has witnessed the highest sales among the high-speed EVs currently sold in India. Compared to its sales figures in July of last year, the model has brought almost five times more numbers last month. Following it is the TVS iQube Electric with 6,304 units sold. Not to mention, the Hosur-based brand has expanded its EV reach and revamped the iQube line by adding two more variants.
Similarly, the Bajaj Chetak has bagged third spot while the Ather 450X gets the fourth position. Like the TVS iQube, Ather too updated the 450X line with notable tweaks for 2022. The Bengaluru-based electric scooter is now called the Ather 450X Gen 3 and packs more features than before.
Last but not least, Okinawa Ridge Plus has also made it to SIAM’s top five models with four times more sales than before. The EV landscape in India is witnessing gradual growth in terms of sales as well as offerings.
