We are less than a year away for the ABS norms to kick in. But there are a few manufacturers who have already started launching motorcycles that are equipped with ABS. We list the top five most affordable bikes that have ABS.
1: Suzuki Gixxer
The Suzuki Gixxer is the most affordable ABS motorcycle one can buy in India at Rs 87,250 (ex-showroom Delhi). In fact, it was launched just a few days ago. The bike is known for its design and outstanding power. Now with the anti-lock braking system (ABS) tech, this Suzuki has become more desirable.
2: Honda CB Hornet 160R
Honda has been selling the CB Hornet 160R from more than two years now. However, at the time of launch it didn’t have a ABS model. But yes, there was an option to buy a CBS model. With the 2018 model, Honda broke the barrier and offered the bike with ABS as well. Priced at Rs 90,734 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is the second most affordable ABS bike in India.
3: TVS Apache RTR 180
The Apache RTR 180 ABS version has been on sale since many years. In fact, it used to be the only bike below 200cc to get an ABS. Even though the bike has grown old, it’s good to see that there’s till an ABS option.
4: Suzuki Intruder 150
The Intruder 150 was Suzuki’s one of the best launches ever. No one thought this Japanese manufacturer will launch a cruiser, and that too with a design inspiration from its big daddy, the Intruder M1800R. It is the only entry-level Suzuki that is sold as ABS as standard. It retails at Rs 96,386 (ex-showroom Delhi).
5: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
There’s another TVS in this list, the Apache RTR 200 4V which is one the best looking motorcycles in India. It is offered in variety of variants, making it easy for the rider to buy the perfect model. ABS option is one of them, and has been priced at Rs 99,995 (ex-showroom Delhi).
