1. Honda Activa 5G: First Ride Review
The country's favourite two-wheeler is also, rather unsurprisingly, the most-read review on Bikewale. The 5G didn't have a mechanical upgrade (we're writing to Santa to give us an Activa with telescopic front forks and a front disc brake) but it did get a jolt in the features department: opt for the DLX and you'll get an LED headlamp and a part-digital instrument cluster. Review here.
2. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X First Ride Review
The Thunderbird was Royal Enfield’s first all-new model in the modern era, and the X carries that tradition forward by being the first RE to have alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as factory fitment. It retains the rest of the mechanical bits of the standard Thunderbird, but there are changes like a shorter seat and a different handlebar to make it a more city-centric cruiser. The Thunderbird 350X’s new attitude surprised us very pleasantly. Review here.
3. Royal Enfield Classic 350 First Ride Review
The Classic 350 is the gold chrome standard in its price bracket, and everyone and their uncle is trying to replicate its success. Success that has 150cc motorcycles looking at its sales figures enviously, despite no major updates for the last decade. The BS-IV emission norms gave it a mechanical update, and understandably a lot of readers wanted to know how much of a difference the update gave it. The answer lies here.
4. Honda XBlade First Ride Review
Honda saw the need for a 160cc motorcycle that wasn’t as aggressive as the CB Hornet 160R but also wasn’t as staid as the CB Unicorn 160. The result is this, the XBlade. It was the first in the segment with an LED headlamp, and it offers great looks with reasonable pricing, thanks to parts sharing with its similarly displaced siblings. Understandably, readers wanted to know whether it straddled the Unicorn 160 and Horner 160R effectively. Review here.
5. 2018 Bajaj Avenger 180 First Ride Review
The Indian market’s love for cruisers is immense. It makes sense then that the most affordable cruiser on sale in India has made this list. This Avenger 180 isn’t the original, but a replacement for the Avenger 150 in the face of increasing competition. As with all Bajaj products, it offers excellent bang for the buck in terms of performance. You can click here to find out how much we liked it.
