Top 5 news of 2017

2017 has been an interesting year for the Indian two-wheeler business. Just when the industry was recovering from demonetisation, supreme court gave a major jolt to the companies when it asked them to sell off all BS-3 two-wheelers by 31st March, 2017. Rhe interesting aspect of 2017 is, majority of the launches were done by big bike companies and not the ones that usually get volumes. This shows there's a lot of demand for such premium products. Here, we tell you the top 5 news stories of 2017 on BikeWale.

5 : Yamaha FZ-S FI launched in new colours

The FZ-S has been a high-selling product for Yamaha. The combination of aspirational styling, performance and brand value made this bike a success. So when Yamaha launch the FZ-S FI in new colours, it was bound to get a lot of internet attention.

4: 2017 Honda CB Shine launched at Rs 60,467

The CB Shine has a major fan following in India. It has the right styling and fuel efficiency which makes it a fast seller. It has been the highest selling 125cc bike for most of 2017. It's rival, the Hero Glamour was numero uno in the remaning months.

3 : Bajaj Pulsar 220F to get a colour update

The fastest Indian, as Bajaj used to claim, still sells in decent number. It still has the connect with the young Indian buyers even though there has not been major change aesthetically. All Bajaj does it gives it a new paint scheme and the internet is flooded with researches.

2: 2017 Hero Super Splendor launched at Rs 55,275

This is quite a shocking one for us. A volume based product getting on this list is never the trend. But it looks like, Reliance Jio has made the Super Splendor buyers research on their phones before heading to the showrooms.

1: 2017 Hero Passion Pro i3s launched at Rs 50,955

Just like the previous story, this one is shocking too. Not a lot of prospective Passion Pro buyers log on to the Internet before buying the product. The bike is primarily focused towards semi - urban and rural markets where everyone likes to go for tried and tested bikes. But looks like, internet penetration hab changed the way people buy new bikes.
