In a segment that has been ruled chiefly by Royal Enfield with its Classic 350 retro-styled motorcycle, Benelli marked its presence in the same space by bringing in the Imperiale 400. In the short period since the launch of the motorcycle, the company has received a positive response as it bagged more than 4000 bookings in just two months since its launch.

Royal Enfield has been on working the next-generation Classic 350 and Thunderbird models that will feature a BS6 compliant engine and a host of new cosmetic as well as mechanical upgrades to stay up to date with the competition. At the previous EICMA event where Royal Enfield showcased the all-new 650 Twin, it was highly anticipated that the bike maker would go ahead with the same format for the 350cc models. However, we have managed to get exclusive images of the test mules of both Classic 350 and Thunderbird X models revealing several details of the upcoming motorcycles.
3. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650-based scrambler showcased at 2019 EICMA

While Royal Enfield might not have made a big announcement that this year’s EICMA show, the bike maker did showcase a custom scrambler bike that was based on the Interceptor 650 Twin. While the overall silhouette of the motorcycle remained the same, it was equipped with a pair of high-set exhausts, chunky off-road purpose tyres and chopped fenders finished in a dual-tone colour scheme. While we wish for a production model of the same to turn into reality, Royal Enfield currently has no plans or heading in that direction with this bike.

The Yamaha XSR 155 is a modern-retro styled naked motorcycle that is based on the MT-15 sold in the country. Introduced in Thailand, the XSR 155 is the smallest offering in the company’s XSR range available in the international market. The bike features a dual-tone colour scheme that is eye-catching while evoking a strong retro appeal thanks to the ribbed seat, circular headlamp and circular tail lamp.

Based on a concept that was showcased in 2018, Yamaha unveiled the Tricity 300 at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show. The three-wheeler is a larger version of the Tricity 125 and is equipped with larger displacement motor and additional features. Notably, it is the manufacturer’s first production motorcycle to feature a tilt-lock assist system that helps to keep the vehicle upright, thus adding a new layer of comfort and riding convenience.
