Take a Suzuki Gixxer with its big bulky outlines, make some changes to the ergonomics and, hey presto, out comes the Intruder 150 - a motorcycle that has been launched to take on the Avengers. And no, we aren’t referring to the Marvel superheroes, but the bike manufactured by Bajaj. We recently spent a considerable amount of time on the Intruder 150 and here are five things you should know about this latest entrant to the Suzuki stable.
1. It’s a road magnet
The Suzuki Intruder 150 gets its design inspiration from the big daddy, the Intruder M1800R. This has made this 150cc cruiser a motorcycle that gets attention wherever it goes. Whether it be traffic signals, parking lots or even at a hospital (true story there!).
2. Comfortable
The rider’s seat is large and wide and has the right amount of cushioning. This, coupled with the laid-back ergonomics, makes riding a pleasurable experience on the Intruder 150.
3. Handles like a naked bike
Obviously! After all, it has the soul of the Gixxer - same chassis, swingarm and even the rake angle. This has made the Intruder 150 the one of the best handling cruisers out there.
4. Safer too
The Suzuki Intruder 150 is loaded with a single-channel ABS as standard. That means, the ABS works only on the front wheel. This safety equipment not only inspires confidence, but is also a life saver.
5. Pricey
The pricing of this cruiser will put off a lot of buyers. It retails at close to Rs 1.20 lakhs on-road Mumbai, and that’s a lot of money for a 150cc motorcycle that borrows parts from its other siblings.
