Top 6 reasons to own a Ducati in India

“Do you know there are around 100 Ducati owners here right now,” said Siddhartha Varma, Marketing Director, Ducati India while we were attending the 2019 Thai MotoGP at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand.

“Our dealerships helped most of these owners get the grandstand tickets” he said.

This made us wonder about the other things Ducati India does for their customers. A little digging and a few calls later, we got some answers. So we tell you six reasons to own a Ducati in India

1: Brand Recall

Ducati is like the Armani of motorcycles. It is a world renowned brand and everyone wants Ducati bikes to adorn their garage. These bikes are exclusive, elegant and highly desirable. And most of us Indians would love to own such aspects of life. This is the reason why the brand recall took the first spot of the article.

 2: Track Schools

Ducati is one of the few motorcycle brands in India that wants its customers to exploit their motorcycles the way they are supposed to be. So the company occasionally conducts training programs at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida and sometimes down south at the MMRT in Chennai. Ducati provides trainers, a track and a whole lot of support at a reasonable price. Most of the times, it’s free for its customers.

3: DRE

Ducati Riding Experience – Off Road is an activity specially crafted for the Multistrada, Desert Sled and the Scrambler riders. I know a few friends who own Multistrada 950s and the 1200s but they have never taken their beasts to any of the trails or off-road sections. They blamed the lack of right skills and the fear of dropping the bikes. Experiences like DRE made them more comfortable and helped them appreciate their bike and the things it can do. And with this I can clearly say that Ducati India has been able to accomplish what it always wanted to – make riders explore and understand every bit of their motorcycles

. 4: Motorsport Connection

While we all know about Ducati’s MotoGP connection, only a few know that the brand participates in a lot of races in India. But the interesting fact is that it played a big role in building up the motorsport community in India. The brand lets some of its customers represent Ducati and that’s something big. Then there’s also the Ducati India Race Cup – a one make race for its Panigale and Supersport customers.

 5: Fan moments

Imagine you are having a dull day at work, and suddenly an email pops up with a title – Meet and greet with Andrea Dovizioso. Well, it at least happened with me. Dovizioso is a MotoGP icon and bringing him to India clearly suggests that the brand is focused towards motorsports and it has a thirst to do more than just selling motorcycles.

 6: Dealership experience

Dealers are primarily involved in selling and service of motorcycles right? Well, in case of Ducati, they go a step further. Race weekends are the busiest as a lot of enthusiasts walk in for MotoGP screenings. And in case you are interested in watching MotoGP live, the dealers will help you with the travel and grandstand tickets.
