The EICMA 2023 was just wrapped up a few days ago and during that time, the world got to witness some exciting two-wheelers. From the entire lot, here is what caught our attention at the EICMA 2023.
Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric
Royal Enfield has also teased its foray into the electric two-wheeler market as it debuted the Himalayan Electric prototype at EICMA 2023. The model was based on the newly released Himalayan 450 but the setup was completely electric. Royal Enfield also revealed that its electric ADV has undergone real-world as well as wind tunnel testing. The Himalayan Electric will debut in its production-ready form in 2025.
Hero MotoCorp debuted not one but a handful of models at the motor show. However, two of them stood out and could very well be launched soon. It is the Xoom 125R and the Xoom 160 ADV scooter. Now, Hero will bring in the Xoom 125R to rival the TVS Ntorq 125 as a sporty 125cc scooter. It has also been spotted testing in India a few months ago. Then, we have the Xoom 160 ADV scooter. This one will be powered by a 156cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor and as of now, there are no ADV maxi-scooters in India on sale. There are a host of features too that Hero is likely to offer on the Xoom 160.
Ultraviolette F99 Electric Motorcycle
Another electric motorcycle from an Indian manufacturer that was showcased at the EICMA 2023 was the Ultraviolette F99. Now, we have already ridden the F77 and it feels quite futuristic but the F99 seems to push the envelope further. According to Ultraviolette, it gets a top speed of 265kmph and the kerb weight is just 178kg. The F99 comes loaded with modern tech including active aero. Not to mention, it looks sporty and aggressive too!
