Honda Activa's sales declined notably in December 2022 as the country’s highest-selling scooter slid to the third position in overall two-wheelers sales. The Activa was replaced by Hero MotoCorp’s HF Deluxe as India’s second highest-selling two-wheeler. Meanwhile, Splendor continued to dominate two-wheelers sales in India, thus taking Hero MotoCorp to the top spot in the list once again in December 2022.
Hero MotoCorp sold 2,25,443 units of the Splendor range in December 2022 as against 2,26,759 units in the corresponding month of 2021. Meanwhile, HF Deluxe's sales stood at 1,07,755 units in December 2022 against 83,080 units in December 2021. The Honda CB Shine and Bajaj Pulsar brands took fourth and fifth positions on the list, respectively. Check out the list of the top five highest-selling two-wheelers in December 2022:

While the Splendor and Activa witnessed a decline in year-on-year sales, the HF Deluxe, CB Shine, and the Pulsar range saw growth during the same period. Despite losing a spot to the HF Deluxe, the Honda Activa continued to dominate scooter sales in the Indian market.
