Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has recently released a data report of the sales numbers of two-wheelers for June 2015. We can see a lot of changes in the order of top-ten selling vehicles and new scooters in the list.
The Hero Splendor was pushed down to second position by Honda's Activa, which finds a firm foothold in the number one position with 1,96,913 units sold. The following six places remain in the same sequence with the Hero Passion in the third place followed by the Hero HF Deluxe, Honda CB Shine and TVS XL Super in that order.
The Pulsar, Platina and Discover from Bajaj have been pushed down from the rank they held in June 2014. The Glamour sales in June 2015 have boosted as compared to June 2014 and the motorcycle has managed to find a spot at number 7. This is followed by the CT, Pulsar and the Jupiter.
The Honda Activa has managed to show a positive growth of 37 per cent, while the newly launched TVS Jupiter has earned a position in the top-ten list. This shows a good growth in the sales of scooters and the change in the trend of buying scooters instead of motorcycles in India.
