Triumph Motorcycles is planning to expand its Scrambler line-up. Two 1200 Scrambler prototypes were spied last week.
The snapped bikes didn’t sport any camouflage and that gave away a lot of information on. To start with, it sports beefy golden forks with long travel, button tyres, bash plate and hand guards. It looks like that the bike is equipped with 21-inch spoked-wheel in the front and 19-inch at the rear.
There are no details on its engine yet but we’re expecting it to be powered by the 1200cc high torque motor from the Bobber. But expect the torque figures to be altered with to suit the bike’s character. The dual front brake discs is a dead giveaway of the presence of a powerful motor.
The styling of the 1200 Scrambler wont’ be changed much and will resemble its Bonneville range. But to showcase its versatility and ruggedness, expect Triumph to equip the bike with some premium body work.
We’re expecting this bike will be revealed to the world either at the 2018 Intermot or the EICMA. Triumph’s Indian arm will definitely launch this bike in 2019, as there’s a good demand for its off-road range.
