The Triumph Bonneville Bobber has been launched in India at Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest addition to Triumph’s range of modern classics, the Bonneville Bobber is targeted at custom motorcycle enthusiasts.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber draws inspiration from American bobbers, ditching unnecessary body work (and the rear seat) to give it a minimalistic appeal. It gets a round headlamp, indicators, instrument console and slant-cut exhausts which highlight its retro character. The tail of the Bonneville Bobber has been designed to resemble a rigid arm, but it does get a rear suspension concealed below the seat. The ergonomics of the Bonneville Bobber are easily customisable thanks to multiple handlebar options and an adjustable seat.
The Bonneville Bobber is powered by the same 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor, delivering 76bhp and 106Nm of torque. The torque delivery has been revised to improve low-end and mid-range performance. Rider aids include two riding modes, ABS, traction control and an optional cruise control. The Bonneville Bobber rides on a 19-inch front and a 16-inch rear spoke wheels with Avon Cobra radials.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is offered in four paint schemes – black, red, silver and green/silver. Like the rest of the modern classic range, the Bonneville Bobber can be customised with a host of optional extras. Triumph is also offering two Inspiration kits for those who prefer a factory-customised motorcycle. The Bonneville Bobber competes with the Harley-Davidson Street Bob, Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and the Indian Scout Sixty.
