Triumph Motorcycles introduced the Bonneville T100 Black in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 8,87,400. The Black Edition comes equipped with several cosmetic changes that distinguish it from the standard model. Here we bring to you a detailed image gallery of the newly launched Triumph Bonneville T100 Black.
The Bonneville T100 Black features the same design as the standard motorcycle. The Black edition, as the name suggests, gets an all-black finish. Thus, parts like wheel rims, engine covers, mirrors, headlamp rim, indicators, and twin-sided exhausts, which get a chrome finish on the standard model, get a blacked-out treatment on the Black edition.
There are, however, a few chrome highlights that are visible on the instrument cluster bezel and the fuel tank badge. The chrome highlights add a neat contrast to the blacked-out look of the motorcycle. The Black edition is available in two colour choices – Jet Black & Matt Black.
The motorcycle uses the same 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, eight-valve, SOHC engine that also powers the standard model. Linked to a five-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch, the motor is tuned to produce 54.3bhp at 5,900rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,200rpm.
Similar to the engine, the hardware specifications of the Black edition are similar to the standard Bonneville T100. Thus, the T100 Black uses KYB-sourced 41mm front forks and preload-adjustable twin shocks at the back. Anchoring duties are performed by a 310mm single disc at the front and a 255mm rotor at the back.
The electronic aids on the Bonneville T100 Black are similar to the standard motorcycle. The safety net is provided by dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control system and a ride-by-wire throttle.
Triumph Motorcycles also offers features such as engine immobilizer and a USB charging socket as standard. Optional accessories for T100 Black include heated grips, cruise control, luggage options, centre stand and a grab rail.
