Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new, BS6-compliant Bonneville T100 Black edition in the Indian market. The retro-style product from the British marquee has been priced at Rs 8,87,400. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Triumph Bonneville T100 Black.
Looks
The Bonneville T100 Black features the same design as the standard Bonneville T100. The distinguishing factor, however, is the blacked-out finish to various parts of the Black edition. The new Bonneville T100 Black features a black finish to the wheel rims, engine covers, mirrors, headlamp rim, indicators, and twin-sided exhausts. The Bonneville T100 Black is available in two colour choices – Jet Black & Matt Black.
Engine
Apart from the design, the mechanical specifications of the Bonneville T100 Black, too, are similar to the standard motorcycle. The Black edition is powered by a 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, eight-valve, SOHC engine that delivers 54.3bhp at 5,900rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,200rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed transmission that benefits from a torque-assist clutch.
Hardware
The Bonneville T100 Black uses KYB-sourced suspension setup that comprises of 41mm front forks and preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear. The stopping power comes from a 310mm single disc at the front and a 255mm rotor at the back. The motorcycle will ride on an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the back.
Electronic aids
The standard electronic aids include dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire and switchable traction control system. The motorcycle also features an engine immobilizer and a USB charging socket as standard.
Optional accessories
Customers can further custom Bonneville T100 Black with optional accessories. The list includes heated grips, a centre stand, grab rail, cruise control and luggage options.
