Triumph has started accepting bookings for the 2016 Bonneville T120. First showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year, the Bonneville T120 carries a price tag of Rs 8.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and can be booked for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.
The new Triumph Bonnveille T120 pays homage to the original Bonneville racers of the late 1960s. It is powered by a 1200cc liquid-cooled ‘high torque’ engine, which delivers 105Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The Bonneville T120 comes armed with ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and a slip-assist clutch.
Given that personalisation forms an important part of a modern classic’s appeal, the Bonneville T120 can be specified with a host of optional accessories as well as a ‘Prestige’ inspiration kit. This pre-customised motorcycle comes with an authentic chrome tank badge, stitched black seat, compact LED indicators, chromed Vance & Hines slip on silencers, handlebar grips and chromed throttle body embellishers and clutch and alternator covers.
The Triumph Bonneville T120 is available in jet black, cinder red, pure white and cranberry red aluminium. Though the Indian market doesn’t have any other modern classic, it does share the market space with the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight.
