Triumph recently launched the Daytona 660 in India, priced at a starting price of Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is available in three paint schemes - Snowdonia White, Satin Granite, and Carnival Red.
While the Snowdonia White costs Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Satin Granite and Carnival Red colour scheme is pegged at Rs. 9.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Unlike the older Daytona 675 which used a 675cc, triple-cylinder motor, the new Daytona 660 is powered by a Trident 660-sourced 660cc engine. The motorcycle has traded its thoroughbred supersport avatar for a friendlier sport-touring demeanour. That said, it features split LED headlights and a sporty styling.
Powering the new Triumph Daytona 660 is a 660cc, inline three-cylinder engine that belts out 95bhp and 69Nm of peak torque. The motor is nestled inside a steel perimeter frame and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. It is suspended on Showa 41mm USD forks up front and a preload adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, its braking hardware comprises dual 310mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc.
Feature-wise, the Daytona 660 gets three ride modes – Sport, Road, and Rain, traction control system, full LED illumination, and switchable dual-channel ABS. It also gets a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The Triumph Daytona 660 rivals the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
