Triumph India debuted its third and latest middleweight offering recently, the Daytona 660. It is not only the most powerful but also the most expensive 660 bike from the British marquee. Here are five of its highlights.
Design
The Triumph Daytona 660 looks sporty, stylish and youthful to say the least. Its design is contemporary and with the multiple colours, you get even more options to choose from. The headlight unit looks sleek and the front duct is integrated neatly between the headlight and the visor.
Features
Along with LED lights everywhere, the Daytona 660 also gets a TFT with three ride modes —Rain, Road, and Sport—and dual-channel ABS as standard. The console is compatible with smartphones as well but the Bluetooth connectivity is an optional extra with added cost.
Engine
Similar to the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, the Daytona 660 also gets a 660cc inline three-cylinder engine. It is tuned for higher power figures and makes 95bhp at 11,250rpm and 69Nm at 8,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
It rides on 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks and a Showa monoshock with preload adjustability. The braking hardware includes a pair of 310mm front discs and a 220mm single disc at the rear. The brakes are mounted on 17-inch alloys showed in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres.
Price
The asking price for the Triumph Daytona 660 is set at Rs. 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Snowdonia White whereas the remaining two colours cost Rs. 9.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
