Triumph has taken the wraps off its Daytona Moto2 765. While this motorcycle is a limited edition, it is a silhouette of the upcoming, mass-production Daytona 765. We bring to you a detailed image gallery of the motorcycle for you to ogle at.
The Daytona Moto2 765 retains the same sharp styling of the previous Daytona 675.
However, the full-fairing, which is built entirely from carbon-fiber has some revisions to make it even more aerodynamic. It also sports the Union Jack in a silver colour (additional red pinstripe for US and Canada)
The tail section which is also carbon fiber does not feature a pillion seat or pillion footrests. It also sports a Moto2-inspired exhaust canister sourced from Arrow to add to its character.
The most important change though is the 765cc inline-three cylinder engine that pumps out 128bhp and 80Nm. Although borrowed from the Street Triple RS, the motor gets an advanced ECU, titanium inlet valves, and new cam profiled for higher torque output.
To control all that power, Triumph has filled the Daytona 765’s electronic kitty with five riding modes- Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider Configurable along with a full-colour TFT instrument display that features a Moto 2 inspired start-up graphic and lap timer.
The Daytona Moto2 765 rides on lightweight 17-inch wheels suspended from 43mm Ohlins NIX30 forks at the front and a TTX36 shock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking hardware on the bike consists of top-spec Brembo Stylema setup with a radial master cylinder.
Triumph is only producing 765 units of the Daytona Moto2 765. Each bike gets an individual number on the top yoke of the triple clamp handlebar.
It will be showcased at the upcoming 2019 EICMA in Italy. While it will go on sale in international markets soon after, we can expect Triumph to get the Daytona Moto2 765 to India sometime next year in limited numbers.
