Triumph has unveiled three new special edition models of the Bonneville at the Intermot Show in Cologne, Germany. Christened Bonneville Spirit, Bonneville Newchurch and Bonneville T214, these special edition motorcycles are mechanically identical to the regular Bonneville T100, though they come with different paint schemes to set them apart from the regular models.
The Bonneville T214 is a limited edition motorcycle, of which only 1,000 examples will be made. It commemorates the 214 miles per hour land speed record set by Johnny Allen back in 1956, which incidentally led to the motorcycle series being named after the salt flats in Utah. The Bonneville T214 will be available in a two-tone blue/white paint scheme which harks back to the livery of the original motorcycle ridden by Johnny Allen. It will be available with a Land Speed Clothing range to complement the motorcycle’s paint scheme.
The Newchurch name pays homage to the Neukirchen city in Germany, which hosts the biggest event held by Triumph. The Newchurch is available in two two-tone paints - white/red and white/blue and gets black fenders and black cast wheels with red stripes. The Bonneville Spirit on the other hand, gets blacked out spoke wheels, front fender, mirrors and handlebar. The rear gets a shorter mudguard while the fuel tank adorns a modern emblem.
Deliveries of the Bonneville T214 will start later this month, while that of the Bonneville Newchurch and Bonneville Spirit will commence in March 2015. Triumph hasn’t divulged the prices of the three special edition motorcycles.
