The Bonneville Bobber has been one of the most beautiful creations in the world of motorcycles. Thr interesting bit is that Triumph is gearing up to launch the bike in India.
The company has released a teaser image on its social media channels which says ‘Brutal Beauty Coming Soon’. Brutal beauty has been the campaign words for the global unveil of the Bonneville Bobber which took place late last year. The Bonneville Bobber gets its power from 1200cc parallel-twin high torque engine from the T120 series. But the engine has been tuned to generate more torque and low down than the T120. It also gets the electronic ride-by-wire system for better throttle response and greater fuel efficiency.
The new frame has been designed specifically for the Bobber to accommodate the solo seat and shortened dimensions of the traditional “Bobber” look. There's only a seat for the rider on the Bobber and the suspension setup has been changed to match that nature. Braking is with a single disc front and rear with ABS being standard fitment. Triumph Bobber uses most modern day electronics like switchable traction control, ride modes – all of which contribute to riding safety.
We’re expecting Triumph to position the Bobber above the standard Bonneville T120 and ask at least a lakh more. So expecting a price tag of Rs 9.8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
