At 2013 EICMA, Triumph has officially confirmed that they will launch a new small displacement 250cc motorcycle that will be built in India. The British auto major also revealed a sketch and confirmed that the new bike will be powered by a single-cylinder unit.
Triumph’s announcement is in line with the changing global sentiments, with more manufacturers looking at developing markets for future expansion. Triumph will launch its line-up in India later this month on November 28 and that is when we can expect to know a few more details about the upcoming bike.
For now, Triumph will assemble big bikes at a CKD facility, as the work at their full-fledged plant gets underway. We hope that things run as per schedule for Triumph India and we get to see this baby Daytona-lookalike soon.
