Triumph India will launch their new motorcycle – the Bonneville T100 on October 18. Once launched, the Bonneville T100 will become their second most affordable bike to buy in India after the Street Twin.
The launch of this motorcycle shows how serious the British manufacturer is about the Indian market. The new Bonneville T100 was unveiled just a couple of days ago at 2016 Intermot, Germany and now the Indian market is going to get it within a month of its global unveil. The new Bonneville T100 looks identical to its outgoing sibling, however, there are a couple of mechanical changes.
This new classic motorcycle is powered by the same 900cc parallel-twin liquid cooled engine that we see on the Street Twin but gets the Bonneville T120 frame. This engine produces 54bhp and peak torque of 80Nm. Just like its most affordable sibling, the T100 is loaded with features. ABS, switchable traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and USB charging comes as standard. LED tail light and engine immobiliser are also part of the overall package
Triumph India will get the Bonneville T100 as completely-knocked-down (CKD) units to the country. We’re expecting a price tag of close to Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for this new Triumph. Expect the British manufacturer to offer a whole lot of customisation options for the smaller Bonnevilles too. The Bonneville T100 Black version won’t come to India soon, but if there’s a demand for it, then we’re sure Triumph would be happy to sell it in India.
