Executive from the Triumph Motorcycle Company have accompanied British Prime Minister David Cameron, during his three-day visit to India, in a bid to understand the local market better as well as to interact with various government officials.
The company had first unveiled its range of motorcycles at the 2012 Delhi Auto expo with promise to launch them in India soon and now according to sources, the company has almost zeroed in on dealers and will start taking the orders soon. However, the first lot of motorcycles will be available via the completely built unit (CBU) route and so we are expecting the prices to be quite high.
“India is a very important motorcycle market and Triumph has assessed it carefully before deciding to invest. We see it as the next step in our global business model and this week’s visit will, I hope, help us to foster further relationships with local businesses to allow us to progress our plans within the Indian market.” said Nick Bloor, CEO of Triumph Motorcycles.”
