Triumph seems to be taking its expansion plans for India very seriously, as it recently inaugurated the country's ninth dealership, in Chandigarh. Called Triumph Krishna, the new dealership is located in Elante mall in Chandigarh and also integrates an after-sales service facility with separate service bays and a spare parts inventory.
The new dealership has been set up along the lines of Triumph’s global layout and houses consultation lounge, sales and after-sales desks. The dealership also has a ‘Build your own Bike’ facility for customers who wish to create a virtual model of their personalised bike. It also has a store which boasts of Triumph-specific merchandise including accessories, riding gear and accessories for the motorcycles.
Triumph entered the Indian market in November last year with 11 models across five categories Classics, Roadsters, Adventure, Cruisers and Super sports, making it one of the few manufacturers who offer such motorcycles from a wide variety of segments, in the Indian market. In just under 12 months, the British manufacturer has managed to clock over 1,000 bookings, and this new showroom is expected to further boost its sales numbers.
