Triumph Motorcycles has recalled the Bonneville T120 due to issue with the heated grips in US. The company is recalling 1390 units of the bike that has been manufactured in 2016 and 2017.
The company says that the heated grips might expand which could cause the throttle to stick open. If this happens, the rider will have difficulty closing the throttle which is a potential risk on the road. The British manufacturer will notify the affected owners and ask them to bring their bikes to the workshop. The dealers will install a spacer free of charge to prevent the throttle sticking open.
Triumph also sells the Bonneville T120 with heated grips in the Indian market. We are checking with the company to see if the Indian models are also being recalled.
