- Final testing of the prototype is completed
- Can charge from 0-80 percent in 20 minutes
- Gets a range of 161km
Earlier this year Triumph revealed new details of its upcoming TE-1 electric superbike. And now, the brand has revealed that the prototype has completed the final stages of testing.
In its latest social media posts, the English bikemaker has also revealed new details of the TE-1. It’ll be able to draw 0-80 percent charge in just 20 minutes and offer a range of 161kms in one cycle. The peak power is limited to 130kw (170bhp) and the TE-1 will accelerate from 0 - 100kmph in just 3.6 seconds.
It tips the weight scale at 220kg and is equipped with top-of-the-line hardware. For reference, the TE-1 gets Ohlins USD forks with a linked rear shock. Meanwhile, braking hardware comes from Brembo. It looks quite similar to the current Speed Triple.
Not to mention, Triumph could also equip the bike with a bunch of features like traction control, front-wheel lift, ABS, braking regeneration and more. That said, the final product is still a while away before we see it on the production line.
