- To be available in two variants (R and GT)
- Gets Red Hopper with Sapphire Black panels
- Likely to carry a price premium over standard models
Triumph Motorcycles India will update its portfolio with the launch of the new Rocket 3 221 Special Edition on 21 December, 2021. Similar to the standard Rocket 3, this special edition series will comprise two variants – R and GT.
The new Rocket 3 221 Special Edition motorcycles celebrate the massive 221Nm of torque produced by the 2,458cc engine, the highest on any production motorcycle. These Special Edition motorcycles feature ‘221’ decals on the fuel tank. The decals also include engine specs on the fuel tank. These comprise ‘2458cc engine, 167PS power, 85.9mm stroke and 110.2mm bore’ on the fuel tank. The motorcycles use a Red Hopper base paint while the flyscreen, side panels, rear section, radiator cowls, and headlamp cowls get Sapphire Black colour.
The changes are limited to styling revisions. The specifications, design, hardware, electronics, and features remain similar to the respective standard models.
Expect these Special Edition variants of the Rocket 3 series to carry a price premium over the standard models. The Rocket 3 R and the Rocket 3 GT are currently available for Rs 19.90 lakh and Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India), respectively.
