The new Triumph Rocket 3 GT has been launched in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 18.40 lakh. The GT is the touring-spec version of the power cruiser that joins the Rocket 3 R in the country. Here we bring a detailed image gallery of the Triumph Rocket 3 GT.
The Rocket 3 GT features twin LED headlights, a three-header exhaust, and multi-spoke cast aluminium wheels fitted with Avon Cobra Chrome tyres.
The new variant of the Rocket 3 series features forward-set footpegs and a touring-style handlebar that deliver relaxed ergonomics. The GT model also gets a taller windscreen, adjustable pillion footrests, 750mm seat height, heated grips, a USB charger, and a pillion backrest as standard.
The motorcycle is available in two colours – Silver Ice and Storm Grey with a Korosi Red pinstripe decal and Phantom Black.
The new Rocket 3 GT is powered by a 2,500cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the motor makes 165bhp at 6,000rpm and 221Nm at 4,000rpm.
The suspension duties are performed by Showa 47mm upside-down forks at the front and a Showa mono-shock at the rear.
Anchoring power comes from dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.30 Stylema four-piston radial monobloc callipers at the front and a single 300mm disc, Brembo M4.32 four-piston monobloc calliper at the back.
The standard electronics package on the motorcycle includes Inertial Measurement Unit, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable), hill hold control, cruise control and keyless ignition.
Buyers can also opt for optional extras that comprise of Triumph Shift Assist (quickshifter), GoPro control, turn-by-turn navigation, My Triumph app, integrated phone and music operation and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
