Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the limited edition iterations of its Rocket 3 series. The limited-edition models include the Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black. The special edition models, which will be limited to just 1,000 units, get a distinctive black finish and special equipment. The new Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black gets a distinctive three-shade finish. The motorcycle also features a carbon-fibre mudguard and a blacked-out finish to the engine including the exhaust headers, heat shields, and intake cover.
Both models get new black painted headlight bezels, fly screen finishers, radiator cowls, seat finishers, and rear body finishers. The blacked out badging and rear-wheel finishers enhance the stealthy look of the motorcycle.
The black anodised components on the motorcycle include rear frame forging, brake and clutch levers, yokes, risers and handlebar clamps, RSU rocker, swingarm guard, side stand, rider footrest, brake and gear pedals, yokes, risers, heel guards and pillion footrests, hangers, and bar-end mirrors.
The mechanical specifications are similar to the standard Rocket 3 GT, and the Triple Black edition continues to use a 2,500cc, triple-cylinder engine that makes 165bhp at 6,000rpm and 221Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The blacked-out finish is also visible on the rear frame forging and 47mm adjustable Showa forks with new black anodised fork lowers.
The electronic rider aids include cornering optimised ABS and traction control, four riding modes, hill-hold control, and cruise control.
The premium feature list includes LED lighting, My Triumph connectivity-ready TFT display, keyless ignition, Brembo’s top specification Stylema callipers at the front, single-sided swingarm, and heated grips. The Bluetooth-module is available as an accessory.
The suspension setup includes Showa 47mm upside-down front forks (compression and rebound adjustable) and a Showa mono-shock (fully-adjustable) at the back. The anchoring tasks include dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.30 Stylem four-piston radial monobloc callipers at the front and a single 300mm rotor, Brembo M4.32 four-piston monobloc calliper at the rear.
The motorcycles come with a certificate of authenticity that carries the unique VIN number.
