Triumph recently unveiled the Rocket 3 R Black Edition. It is likely to make its way to India in limited numbers. So, here we tell you all that you need to know about the motorcycle.
All-black theme
The Triumph Rocket 3 R Black takes its name seriously. Sporting an all-black theme, there is hardly any chrome or silver in sight. To begin with, it gets a matte black paint scheme with blacked-out badging. The wheels, radiator guard, headlamp bezel are black too.
Even the burly 2500cc engine, exhaust headers and pipes go with the dark theme. And paying attention to detail, Triumph has also made sure to have the mirrors, gear and brake levers and pedals, handlebar clamps and heel plates in black. To compliment the whole theme, the Rocket 3 R Black comes with a carbon-fibre front fender.
Limited production
To keep things exclusive, Triumph Motorcycles has announced that the Rocket 3 R Black will be limited to just 1000 units worldwide. Fret not, as we mentioned earlier, a few are also likely to be available in India in the coming months.
Same engine
The Triumph Rocket 3 R is mostly famous for its mammoth-sized engine which also features on the Black Edition. This 2500cc, inline-three cylinder motor is capable of churning out 167bhp at 6000rpm and a mind-boggling 221Nm of torque at a low 4,000rpm.
Unchanged features and electronic package
Filled to the brim, the Triumph Rocket 3 R Black comes with the same features as the standard model. So there is a TFT display that comes with Bluetooth connectivity, full-LED lighting, keyless ignition and USB charging. You also get cornering ABS, traction control, four ride modes, hill-hold control and cruise control.
