- Rocket 3 recalled
- Improper ABS unit manufacturing
Triumph Motorcycle has recalled many units of the Rocket 3 in US. The recall was issued due to issues on the bike’s ABS system.
A total of 1241 Rocket 3 motorcycles have been affected by this recall. In fact, all three variants – Rocket 3 R, Rocket 3 GT and the Rocket 3 TFC are a part of this recall.
According to the company, air could have entered the anti-locking brake system (ABS) modulator while the rear brake system was filled during manufacturing. Because the presence of air in the ABS modulator may result in rear braking deterioration over time, on some ABS units. As a result, degradation of the rear brake efficiency, if unnoticed, can increase the risk of a crash.
The British brand is in the process of contacting the affected customers. They will be asked to bring the bikes to the nearest service center to fix the issue free of cost. There’s no information right now if any models in India have been recalled.
