- New Rocket 3 India launch tomorrow
- Likely to be available in two variants
- Comes powered by a 2500cc, inline-three engine
Triumph is all set to launch the new Rocket 3 in India tomorrow, 5 December. The bike will then be showcased at the 2019 India Bike Week.
The new Rocket 3 gets a major overhaul in terms of styling characteristics. While the earlier model was a cruiser, the new Rocket 3 is more of a power-cruiser, taking the fight directly to the Ducati Diavel 1260. The motorcycle is likely to be offered in two variants- Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT. While the former sports neutral-set footpegs and straight handlebars, the GT offers a more relaxed, touring friendly riding position.
Moreover, the Rocket 3 GT also features taller windscreen, adjustable pillion foot pegs, heated grips and an extra cushioned seat with pillion back rest. Both models sport twin-LED headlamps, a cropped rear fender and twin slash cut exhausts that show off the single-sided swingarm and rear wheel.
The Triumph Rocket 3 is powered by a 2500cc, inline-three cylinder engine that is capable of producing 165bhp of power and a massive 221Nm of torque. Triumph has equipped the Rocket 3’s electronics package with four ride modes, a traction control system, cornering ABS and hill-hold control. Both variants also sport a Bluetooth-enabled full-colour TFT dash.
We expect Triumph to price the Rocket 3 in the range of around Rs 23-25 lakhs (ex-showroom). Stay tuned as we bring you live updates from the launch tomorrow.
