- Both motorcycles limited to 1000 units
- Get an all-black theme
- Few units to be introduced in India
Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black Editions. The motorcycles are limited to just 1000 units each and will come with a certificate of authenticity.
Now, these Black Editions, like their names suggest, sport an all-black theme with almost no chrome in sight. Apart from the bodywork, wheels, headlamp bezels, the Triumph Rocket 3 Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black also have blacked-out brake and gear levers, mirrors, heel guards, radiator cowls and heat shield. Both models also sport a carbon-fibre front fender to complete the look. Now the Rocket 3 Black comes with complete black badging. On the other hand, the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black gets a triple-black paint scheme with silver badging to set it apart.
Even the massive 2500cc, inline-three engine is finished in black. However, it continues to produce the same 167bhp of power and 221Nm of torque. The rest of the Triumph Rocket 3 series also remains the same. It rides on Showa-sourced suspension with Brembo brakes at the both ends. The electronics package on the Triumph Rocket 3 includes a Bluetooth-enabled TFT screen, six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable), cruise control, hill hold control, and keyless ignition. The Rocket 3 GT also gets heated grips as standard.
While the Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black will hit international showrooms in the next couple of months, we can also expect a few units to be made available in India sometime soon
