- Based on the Scrambler 1200 XE
- Is limited to 250 units worldwide
- Features cosmetic changes
Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition. And as its name suggests, is a tribute to the famed silver-screen British spy.
This special edition motorcycle is based on the Scrambler 1200 XE, although with cosmetic changes and a limited-production of just 250 units worldwide. And to exude a secretive, Bond-like appeal, the motorcycle is completed in a Sapphire Black paint job. The fenders, fork bottles, swingarm, engine sump guard, pillion grab rails, and front sprocket on the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition are finished in black too. However, in contrast to all the black, it features a large white Triumph badge on the fuel tank and a brushed decal foil knee pad with hand-painted gold stripe.
Carrying on with the theme, the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition features 007 brandings on the number plate, as embroidering on the seat and the heat shield for the carbon-fibre tip Arrow exhausts. Furthermore, the TFT display on the motorcycle also has a unique 007-themed startup screen. Moreover, each owner will receive a numbered letter, Bond Edition motorcycle cover, and a premium rucksack.
Apart from the visual differences, the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition is the same as the standard model. It comes powered by a 1200cc, parallel-twin motor that produces 89bhp and 110Nm. While the motorcycle’s pricing has already been revealed for international markets, there is no word about the 007-themed Scrambler 1200 making its way to India. Nevertheless, the British manufacturer retails the base Scrambler 1200 XC in the country at Rs 10.73 lakh.
