Triumph recently unveiled the Scrambler 1200 for global markets. And it won’t be long before the bike is launched in India. Until then, you can have a look at the Triumph Scrambler 1200 in this detailed photo gallery.
The Scrambler 1200 sports a scrambler-like styling and is available in two variants; XC and XE.
It gets high mounted twin exhausts, an engine sump guard, and fork protectors that exude its off-roading purpose.
Meanwhile, the off-road focused XE variant also gets knuckle guards and heated grips as standard.
The bikes get a full-LED headlamp which gets a LED DRL with the Triumph logo in the center.
It uses a uniquely designed colour-TFT screen with a navigation system and optional Bluetooth connectivity.
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 is also the first motorcycle to offer integrated GoPro control that can be used via the switchgear.
The bike also offers cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control and four ride modes- Road, Rain, Sport and Rider with an Off-Road mode on the XE.
The Scrambler 1200 sits on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. While the XC gets Metzeler Tourance rubber, the XE sports Pirelli Scorpion tyres.
Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs held on by Brembo M50 calipers for the front wheel and a single 255mm disc for the rear with a Nissin caliper.
Both variants also get full-adjustable suspension at both ends with Showa inverted forks up front and twin shocks at the rear sourced from Ohlins.
However, while the XE sports gold-finished, 47mm front forks with a 250mm of suspension travel at both ends, the XC gets 45mm units with 200mm of travel.
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 is powered by a 1200cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 88bhp and 110Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
