Triumph Motorcycles India has listed the limited-edition Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen version on its website. Most of the details about the motorcycle are available on Triumph Motorcycles’ India website although the prices are yet to be announced. We expect this limited-edition model to carry a marginal price premium over the standard version.
The motorcycle, which is based on the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, will be limited to just 1,000 units globally. The Steve McQueen Edition pays homage to the Triumph TR6 ridden by Steve McQueen in the classic Second World War movie – The Great Escape.
This limited-edition model benefits from cosmetic upgrades such as Competition Green colour on the tank with hand-painted gold lining and retro Triumph logos, dedicated McQueen tank graphic, a brushed aluminum Monza cap, a brown seat, and stainless steel tank strap. The Steve McQueen edition also gets the Triumph MyConnectivity feature as standard. Each unit of the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen gets an individual number on the billet aluminum handlebar.
The changes are limited to the styling upgrades. The mechanical specifications and feature list, on the other hand, are similar to the Scrambler 1200 XE. The motorcycle uses a 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 89bhp at 7,250rpm and 110Nm at 4,500rpm.
