- 2024 Triumph Scrambler 400 X launch soon
- Gets same 393cc engine like the Speed 400
- Will be priced around Rs 2.30 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles India launched the Speed 400 in India a couple of months ago and is set to debut the Scrambler 400 X in the country soon. The brand has teased the launch of the motorcycle on its social networks.
Now the Triumph Scrambler 400 X shares its underpinnings with the Speed 400 however leaning toward the off-road side of things, as its name suggests. It boasts of a modern-retro design with its round headlamp and offers a semi-digital instrument cluster, curvy fuel tank with knee grips and a side-slung exhaust pipe that comes with a different heat shield design. The Scrambler 400 X further boosts its capabilities with a 19/17-inch wheel combo that is shod with dual-purpose tyres.
However, power is drawn from the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the Speed 400 which churns out 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm. It is teamed with a six-speed gearbox and slipper and assist clutch. As for features, it comes with full-LED lighting, a traction control, dual-channel switchable ABS and semi-digital cluster. Now, Triumph is offering the Scrambler 400 X in three colour schemes- Matte Khaki Green with Fusion White, Carnival Red with Phantom Black and Phantom Black with Silver Ice.
While the pre-bookings for the new Triumph Scrambler 400 X were already open on its India website, the pricing is expected to be slightly higher than the Speed 400’s Rs 2.23 lakh price tag. With its launch happening in a little over a week’s time, we won’t have to guess for much longer. That said, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X will go up against the Royal Enfield Scram 411 in India.
